4 Restore the battery protective sheet and set

two batteries above the battery protective

sheet according to the directions of the [+]

and [-] symbols as shown in the figure.

*Set each battery from the [+] side. They cannot be

inserted from the [-] side.

*Set the batteries in place one at a time.

5 Slide the battery cover up again to close it.

Unloading the batteries

If the battery protective sheet has been removed, notify the store where you

bought them or a service center. If you use the printer with the protective sheet

removed, the batteries might short-circuit causing them to leak, overheat, or

crack.

First raise the release part (green) of

the battery protective sheet, remove

the two batteries from the top, then

lift up the battery release lever (red)

and remove the two batteries from the

bottom.

* Do not vigorously pull up the battery

protective sheet. It might break.
